Dandenong Lapidary Club

Sunday saw the Dandenong Clubs 40th Birthday, bright and sunny but not too hot, we had a great time and met many old members who we had not met before, We were all presented with a ruby in a case to represent the 40 years, Ruby Birthday. Had fun doing the catering and more fun eating it all. Dad and i started on our Silversmithing Course yesterday, we are both designing and mounting a cabachon, so should be interesting. Have you heard the news, Mathew and Liz are also expecting a baby same month as Dette and Richard, that seems good planning????????????

Blogs seem to have slowed down of late, so thought I should start things up. Wew have the Dandenong 40th Birthday Party on Sunday so have been busy organising food and party goods all week. Hope all goes well as we are having an afternoon tea party not my usual savory things more cakes etc. so thats different.....Dadds back into the swing of things at Frankston Lapidary club doing his cabachons and we have both started silver smithing at Dandenong, made a pair of earings from scratch on Momday very, swish.....look out for them in the future

Rain at last

RAIN RAIN RAIN We had a down pour for about 10 minutes, the parrots in the trees were going mad. only lasted 10 minutes but maybe it will rain again later. the garden thinks its great

back on line

For some reason i could not access my blogger account to either publish a new blog or to make a comment, but that seems to have sorted itself out now........Dad and I spent the day spreading mulch over the garden, back breaking work but it looks very good, I also put in more solar lights, looks like Blackpool now.....Spoke to Dodo and Elsie and they were thrilled with the exhibition Sam took them to about Chances...thanks Sam
