New blog at last.

O>K> so all things being considered its been some time since my last blog.....maybe I can start again.....Home at last and still suffering jet lag......The house looked great when we arrived home, thanks to all who helped to look after the place.....seems strange...it was such a long time and many thanks to Sara Simon and the kids for putting up with us for such a long time, you all deserve a medal, gold of course....Although things didnt work out as planed in the u.k. a good time was still had by all.....lots of places to go and people to see, new friends and old friends, great to see you all....sad times and happy times...nows the time to go forward and look to the future, hope 2009 is better than 2008....

Well over the years you have all waited for it ans today it happened....I was reaching over the pool to retreivea branch that had fallen in and wo and behold in I went.. The blue pool cover was on so it was quite a stately and elegavt fall as though in slow mottion, but the end result was the same.....and no there were no photographs.

sydney 2007

Finally remembered my password. Here goes. Maria and I have had a grreat few days in the big bad city of Sydney. did all the tourist things the Bridge the Opera House and of cource the ferry to Manly. maria really enjoyed it all and I also thought it was great to see everything again. We stayed at the Ibis on Darling Harbour, very central and easy to get to everything, also great for a few wines in the evening. Back to Frankston now and back to earth. One more week with maria, we also met two ladies in Sydney who also came from Smethwick how spooky was that.

Fathers Day.

Dad says thanks to you all for his Fathers day cards and gifts. Update on Dodo she's doing well and Elsie is very pleased with her progress. Hope she's home soon

Pommie visitors

They have arrived. Ann and Tim and Peter and Richard did a midnight run to the airport to collect our visitors. Got back home at around 3.30am and after a nip of Baily's as a nightcap finally got to bed around 4.00am. A few hours later and everyone was up and about and ready for a new day. No rest of course as it was off the Peter and Karens for Frasers 9th birthday party, where we were joined by Richard and Dette and the three children, great to have them all together. Everyone should sleep soundly tonight.
